Position Summary:

 

Responsible for managing the manufacturing batch scheduling requirements for the departments within the facility, helping to maximize the facilities production capabilities and ensuring finished goods are appropriately distributed across the supply chain network to meet inventory targets.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

Manages the manufacturing batch scheduling requirements for one or more departments within the facility. 

Plans batches in advanced using the in-house developed advanced planning system. 

Works with local manufacturing team(s) to sequence tickets according to needs and demands. 

Plans filling requirements for batches 

Reviews transship opportunities when appropriate between facilities and companies 

Determines and coordinates finished goods inventory allotments to be shipped to Distribution Center 

Works with the Materials Manager and Shipping Lead to ensure accurate and timely shipments of finished goods inventory. 

Communicates with Distribution Centers regarding inbound inventory on a regular basis. 

Responsible for managing finished goods cancellations and meeting inventory targets. 

Provides feedback on advanced planning system for future development. 

Investigates and Recommends changes and improvements. 

Reports problems. 

Assists with testing and training of the system. 

Develops documentation of the system as needed for other users. 

Manages the manufacturing facilities finished goods label inventory. 

Uses the advanced planning system to generate accurate label orders to support established label inventory levels. 

Receive and verify accuracy of all incoming label orders and ensure they are unpacked to their designated storage locations. 

Maintains accurate inventory information in the advanced planning system, adjusting for scrap and PO errors as needed. 

Performs label inventory once a year and meets established accuracy goals consistently. 

Required Experience: 

Requirements

 

4 year college degree, preferably in a supply chain related major. 

Demonstrated knowledge of plant scheduling, preferably in a process based industry. 

Knowledge of Office applications, particularly Excel and Access required. 

Ability to work well in a team environment. 

APICS certification or training a plus. 

AS/400 application knowledge a plus. 

Start time is 6am along with plant management team
