Job Summary
This individual will serve a central role by providing data driven insights to our key business questions. The individual will provide information about trends related to markets, competitors, customers as well as marketing campaign effectiveness. They will rely heavily on raw data from primary research, secondary research, syndicated research, social and digital data to name a few. Leveraging the variety of data sources, the individual will package the key insights to tell a credible and compelling story for senior management, with a goal of prompting action, rather than just delivering information.

The nature of the role is to help support and enable the business to (a) make data driven decisions (b) measure performance and ROI (c) look for opportunities to improve marketing and product strategy. As a result, we are looking for someone who has strong business acumen with superior skills in managing and manipulating data to identify relevant trends and insights. The role will be part of the growing market research and analytics team.

Key Responsibilities
Provide data analysis of sales, marketing, survey (proprietary and syndicated), digital, social media and secondary data
Conducts competitive and industrial marketing analysis: Technological, social, political and economic
Assists in the design of research projects, which answer particular business questions
Analyzes marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to raise profitability and provide ROI assessments
Work with Brand Management team to identify enhanced or new marketing opportunities
Track online behavior of Benjamin Moore & Co.’s digital properties as well as social media engagement
Build marketing dashboards, which visualize KPI’s
Monitor and track website messaging, competitive advertisements etc.
Track sales and profitability trending by brand and sub-brand
Develop and update dashboards to provide quick overview of trends and research findings on a monthly basis
Required Skills:

BS in marketing, economics, statistics, marketing research, or other related field; Masters or MBA preferred
3-5 years of analytical experience in a business environment required, preferable within the marketing function
Demonstrated knowledge of sales, business and marketing processes
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to support business reporting and drive successful completion of projects
Effective time management and organizational skills
Strong business acumen, analytical, problem solving, data manipulation and management skills
Strong computer skills which includes data reporting software, business intelligence and advanced Microsoft Excel
Highly skilled in data visualization (reporting info graphics) and presentation
Should be able to contribute to planning and strategic thinking
Familiar with various web tracking software such as Google Analytics and other Social Media listening tools
High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation
Ability to manage and respond in a sometimes ambiguous environment with shifting and evolving priorities
