Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for creating, executing and maintaining testing scripts for web based applications and functionality on all Benjamin Moore web sites. The analyst does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Creating, executing and maintaining test plans to validate the Quality of Benjamin Moore web based applications and functionality prior to release involving working closely with business analysts and developers in translating business requirements/use cases into test scripts.
  • Following internal procedures and guidelines for logging and tracking of defects to the nominated parties during test execution phase while partnering with the delivery team to resolve any open issues.
  • Coordinating and tracking efforts of QA team involving working closely with QA Manager and Site Managers to collect and collate data, schedule tasks, and coordinate fix/retest cycle.
  • Ability to assume role of site expert while working with business users to maintain application data identified as pre-condition for creating authentic test environment and document user experiences to create step-by-step ‘how to’ guide including screenshots and references as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years or more of experience in software and / or website testing.
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
  • Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes.
  • General understanding of HTML and other software languages.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, effective at managing multiple project simultaneously; flexible and able to quickly adapt to new situations.
  • Accountable for actions and decisions, learns from past experiences; exercises sound judgment and consistently pushes self and others for results.
