Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

* Partners with the hiring managers to discuss the recruitment plan. Educate/train hiring managers on how to interview and acquire talent.
* Develop advertisements, job posting and other recruiting literature. Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; using newsgroups and job sites, and other methods as appropriate.
* Recruits and evaluates applicant qualifications. Determine applicant qualifications by screening applicants and analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
* Provide a great candidate experience through ongoing communication by providing applicants information about: job duties, working conditions, pay, benefits and promotional opportunities.
* Follow through: providing hiring managers with regular communication on the status of their positions as well as providing candidates with regular communication on their application status.
* Responsible for offers.
* Maintains applicant tracking and other pertinent recruitment and selection information using Human Resources Information System.
* Attend job fairs, recruiting events and build applicant sources by networking with community, colleges etc.
* Network and maintain relationships with key candidate/communities for short and/or long term opportunities.
* Actively participate in all staffing related activities and engage in cross functional projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years relevant experience. 

License: You must have and maintain a Valid California Class C Driver's License that allows you to drive in the course of your employment.

Required Skills and Abilities to:
* Gather relevant data, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
* Understand, interpret, explain, and apply rules, regulations, policies, procedures and applicable local, state and federal laws with regarding to recruiting.
* Ability to multi-task and attention to detail: schedule interviews, initiates background investigation requests, reference checks, offer letters and all required paperwork.
* Proficiency using an ATS system. Good MS Office skills.
* Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
* Form strong partnerships.
* Travel (including overnight travel/stays to Desert facilities).

Highly Desirable: Experience as a Recruiter working in the Public Sector. Experience as a Recruiter working in a Union Environment.

**The duration of this assignment is approximately 5 months, through December 2015.**
