TerraSond, a precision geospatial solutions provider based in Palmer, Alaska is currently seeking a Boat Operator to support its survey efforts in Alaskan waters. This position would be a full time seasonal position. The Boat Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation and navigation of TerraSond vessels and may serve as a liaison to chartered vessels. He or she oversees personnel and vessel safety, documentation, maintenance, crew training and ensuring that TerraSond Limited is in compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and regulations. The Boat Operator assists with vessel, facility, and vehicle maintenance and performs additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a number of locations including TerraSond’s shop and storage facility, boats and various field locations. Some work is performed outdoors and may take place in inclement weather. Requires occasional heavy lifting of equipment (up to 50 pounds). Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
