An innovative paint and wall covering company has an immediate opening for a Director of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at its corporate headquarters located in the Northern NJ.  Reporting to the company’s CIO, the Director will use strong business acumen to develop and be accountable for the planning, organizing and implementation of the program.  Partnering with business clients you will design processes and implement an ERP solution to support financials and manufacturing.

  • Work with leadership to strategically align short and long term ERP strategies.
  • Responsible for identifying, implementing and planning of ERP projects, process and functions.
  • Manage the activities of the ERP functional group by directing operational objectives to meet business goals.
  • Lead, along with business partners, Business Process Definition and functional requirements.
  • Conduct ERP software selection
  • Lead the configuration and implementation to support financial and manufacturing processes
  • Define master data management approach, data stewards, and ongoing data quality standards
  • Establish operational processes post go-live
  • Continuous improvement and enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 15+ years of demonstrated IT industry experience, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Led multiple ERP implementations including green field implementations and re-engineering or upgrade projects.
  • Solid understanding of program management, methodologies and hands-on experience in managing all aspects of project delivery, including people and vendor relationship management
  • Demonstrated career experience interacting and influencing decisions at the Director, VP, and CIO level as it relates to ERP and IT related decisions.
  • Proven problem solving skills and techniques. Broad and advanced technical and business knowledge. Ability to quickly learn and comprehend technology landscape, technical design options, interdependencies and constraints. Ability to quickly develop deep business knowledge in the domain covered by the program.
  • History of navigating a complex implementation cycle, navigating multiple levels within a corporation to gain consensus on projects in the $15-25M range.
  • Proven track record of successful project/program management in complex, multi-function programs. Must have led large, cross-division functional teams (40+ members) or projects that had a long term impact on the organization.
  • Expert capabilities to “Think on Your Feet”, improvise, solve problems and develop rapport with Influential stakeholders, both remotely and in-person.
  • Proven ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality across the full systems development lifecycle.

Excellent organizational skills, excellent English oral and written communications skills and a high level of interpersonal skills.
