As an employee in our Paint Manufacturing facility you will be leveraged as general factory worker primarily in our filling and shipping/receiving departments. You will be responsible for quality filling and packaging of finished products as well as efficiently loading and unloads trailers to ensure the warehouse remains adequately stocked and finished good are shipped out in a timely manner.

Specific responsibilities are outlined below:

Filling:

  • Operates all filling line functions using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to consistently produce a high quality product in a timely manner.
  • Checks batch ticket for correct product.
  • Ensures product information on container and lid is in accordance with batch ticket for correct product.
  • Properly fills container by weight as appropriate and monitors quality appearance of containers (no drips).
  • Sends retain sample to control lab.
  • May use the following pieces of automatic filling equipment: automatic container depallitizer; automatic filling machine; lid dropper, label machine, case packer, and palletizer.
  • Responsible for accurate count of fill and input data into terminal for inventory control.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Shipping/Receiving:

  • Loads and unloads trailers as required.

  • Ship finished goods and verifies documentation with each shipment.

  • Moves stock to appropriate warehouse locations and documents accordingly.

  • Replenishes pick spots as necessary and maintains appropriate documentation.

  • Performs staging of raw materials and rework drums for production.

  • Performs quality control check on products.

  • Stages finished goods from production for shipment.
  • Reports inventory levels.
  • Tags rework solvent and paint and documents accordingly.

 

Maintains the highest standards for product quality and service.

Maintains forklift or other related equipment by checking battery, electrical charger hookup, etc.

Follows all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; uses all required safety equipment. Maintains quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to work in a team environment and the willingness to be cross functional.

One to two (1-2) years experience in a shipping/receiving environment a plus.

Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout shift.

Ability to work safely and follow SOP’s.

Good interpersonal communication skills.

Forklift experience required; forklift certificate preferred.

Pallet truck experience an asset, WHMIS preferred.

Must be able to work overtime as necessary and weekend if required.

Ability to use computer system.
