Job Description
Benjamin Moore & Co, a world-class leader in paint products and color, is currently looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to join our sales team. You will be accountable for engaging architects, designers and specifying professionals to grow market share and strengthen Benjamin Moore’s position of product and color leadership within metro areas of Houston and New Orleans. The successful candidate will manage the project specification and link the planning stages to successful completion, resulting in paint sales and provide expertise, education and brand awareness to the key purchase influencer segments including the Independent Retailer, Architects, Designers and Color Consultants.
The territory covers mainly the greater metro areas of Houston and New Orleans.

Required Skills
- College degree preferred
- Two to five years of experience directly with the architectural and design communities
- Comprehensive understanding of specification and finish schedule writing
- Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office & CRM)
- Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills
- Effective training and motivational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Demonstrated consultative selling skills
- High sales aptitude
- Ability to analyze situations and identify opportunities for success
- Effective decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record a must
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
- Houston metro area candidates preferred, New Orleans candidates will be considered
