This Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist position is located in the Field Intelligence Division (FID), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will serve as the Branch Manager assigned to the Intelligence Integration Branch (IIB). You will serve in a 24/7 state-of-the-art Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) with locations in Herndon, VA, Annapolis Junction, MD or Arlington, VA. Typical assignments include but are not limited to:

• Directing and integrating intelligence support to the nationwide Field Intelligence Program, which serves as the principal conduit for intelligence to the TSA workforce at airports, through the use of a robust information sharing architecture (including the content management for a classified intelligence website for Field Intelligence Officers (FIOs), tailored distribution lists and dissemination processes, and sharing of raw intelligence and other products from Intelligence Community agencies and state/area fusion centers).
• Directing and integrating intelligence support to the Transportation Security Operations Center (TSOC) through the 24/7 intelligence watch at TSOC. Providing intelligence support to emergency and critical incident management operations.
• Interacting with a variety of stakeholders, to include Federal Security Directors, Assistant Federal Security Directors/Law Enforcement, Federal Air Marshall Service and Office of Global Strategies\' leaders and personnel, and Intelligence Community components.
• Providing strategic direction and vision, to include identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhancing information sharing channels between FIOs and their customers.

To qualify for the SV-K Pay Band (equivalent to GS-15), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-J Pay Band or GS-14 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience includes applying technical intelligence resources/systems to identify and evaluate pertinent intelligence; maintaining situational awareness of ongoing threats and intelligence issues; and managing high-profile programs for a large and geographically dispersed organization.

National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

NOTE: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
