THE ROLE
The Product team is seeking an exceptional Product Manager who can take an active part in developing our borrower facing products during our rapid growth phase. Our core product is a two sided marketplace where we connect small businesses (borrowers) looking for funding with investors via a single scalable online platform. Our platform is vertically integrated and spans the the entire lifecycle from customer acquisition to credit underwriting/loan servicing/financial reporting to the online investor marketplace. As a Product Manager (PM) on the borrower team, you will be working on a variety of different aspects of the borrower web experience with a focus on customer acquisition. Our borrower products include the fundingcircle.com website and associated application, origination focused partner API’s integration as well as mulitple data integrations. Borrowers are central to our mission of making a better financial world - come join us and drive the most strategic area of focus for the company!
• Ownership of Products: Play a key leadership role on the team and contribute to solving some interesting challenges. Own products from conception to launch.
• Deliver: Talk with customers, create product strategy, prioritize requirements, manage tradeoffs, lead through influence, measure and metric, create and manage roadmaps, and most importantly help the team deliver a great product!
• Design beautiful, easy-to-use features that our borrowers will love.
• Collaborate: Work cross-functionally to drive product development with a top notch design and engineering team
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• At least 3 years of Product Management experience in the Internet space
• Solid technical background and understanding of web technologies and software development for complex data driven systems
• Website funnel conversion optimization experience
• Experience working with Agile development teams
• Knowledge of how to get things done and success with shipped products
• Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces - ability to create examples through wireframes and mockups
• Great written and oral communication skills
• The ability to own product development throughout the entire product lifecycle, particularly the requirement and design phases
• An inquisitive mindset and the desire and ability to navigate from “what is being asked” to “what is the need”
• Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff
• A self starter with an enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, team oriented start-up environment

• Engineering or Computer Science degree
• Understands API’s
• Genuine interest in small business finance and understands the needs of a small business
