Job Title:  Sales Manager - Conduit Systems

Summary                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Responsible for generating, directing and closing new business opportunities for engineered conduit systems, cable assemblies and other product adjacencies as necessary with identified customers within target markets. The BDM manages designs and executes the plan in coordination with Field Sales Management and the Business Development Team of the manufacturing unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 *

* Develops, implements and leads strategic sales activities to meet corporate goals for assigned product area

 *

* Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

 *

* Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

 *

* Acts as a technical resource and subject matter expert in support of field sales representatives.

 *

* Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly for assigned product area.

 *

* Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs.

 *

* Identifies new product opportunities and submits to product research and development.

 *

* Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

 *

* Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

 *

* Conducts research into and documents new market trends, shifting technologies impacting customer requirements, and competitive landscape

 *

* Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs.

 *

* Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

 *

* Provides marketing analysis and reports and presentations to management as needed.

 *

* Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

 Education & Experience                                                                                                                                                                            

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or at least 10 years of experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience selling customized electro-mechanical assemblies and/or engineered solutions within the Military/Aerospace industries

Major account program management experience
