Responsibilities/Job Description:
In this entry level position, you will perform semi-skilled mechanical and manual work on equipment at compressor stations and natural gas facilities throughout the regional underground pipeline system.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
* Successful completion of the pre-employment physical and written testing and drug screen.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
* Ability to perform physically demanding activities in all weather conditions.
* Must reside within 30 Miles of the compressor station.
* Minimum Educational Requirements: High School Diploma/GED.
Desired Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of operations used in maintenance and repair of pipelines and operational equipment.
* Computer literacy with basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook software.
* Demonstrated technical and analytical skills via training, formal education, and/or experience.
* Ability to work independently with little to no direction.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness is valued.
* Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely.
* Innovative problem solver without compromising Standard Operating Procedures.
* Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
Comments:
Successful candidate must advance as a Pipeliner and successfully progress to the first level of Utility Pipeliner within 5 years of entering the Pipeliner progression. (Time requirements may be adjusted by management based on previous experienced of candidate.)
