Proven and credentialed Engineer with exceptional project management skills needed to drive capital and continuous improvement projects across our manufacturing network at Benjamin Moore & Co. based out of our Flanders, NJ location. This individual must be able to identify, develop, and execute projects in accordance with sound project management techniques in conjunction with the corporate and operations team at Benjamin Moore. This individual will be a motivated, self-starter, with great communication skills, who has a strong portfolio of project successes across engineering disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with a logical, methodical approach to work.
- Ability to communicate well with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Able to plan and coordinate several simultaneous projects.
- Demonstrated the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources in accordance with sound project management techniques.
- Outstanding Engineering skills required to effectively manage projects, make recommendations and ensure optimization of project instillation.
- Understand techniques for monitoring and controlling programs
- Good foundational knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Strong IT skills.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (MBA a plus)
- 5+ years experience in Project Engineering and Capital Projects
- Proven track record of delivering all phases of project execution
- Experience managing projects from 250,000 to 15,000,000
- Experience with Process Equipment, and Projects – THIS ROLE will be initially focused on BATCH PROCESSING UPGRADES and SYSTEM EXPANSIONS
- Experience in Civil Work, and Utilities a plus
- Experience in Paint /Coatings or Consumer Packaged Goods a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in a distributed and matrixed environment using a team approach
- Operations experience a plus
- Line/group management a plus
