Achievements & Skills

}  Launched full IPTV line-ups for approximately IPTV companies, as well as municipalities, telephone companies, and utility companies at NTTC.

}  Launched digital video services in systems within a month timeframe.  At the MSO, Rifkin & Associates, worked with cross functional teams (Marketing, Accounting, and Operations) to meet launch timelines.  Developed pricing and packaging for each system.  Authored a step-by-step launch manual which included a launch checklist and templates for turn-key marketing tactics.  Visited call centers and systems to train customer service personnel on digital services.  Test site for DIVA VOD.

}  Created and chaired a Co-op of local cable systems.  Five local cable operators combined over $k/year to purchase media to promote PPV.  Partnered with local sports franchises, WWE, HBO boxing, Hollywood studios and various other programmers to promote PPV movies, sports and events.  Resulted in a % increase in event and movie performance.  Held P&L responsibility to $. million.

Director of Account Services ( – present) – National Telco Television Consortium

National Telco Television Consortium, a for-profit organization content aggregator much like NCTC, operating in the IPTV industry.  Primary responsibility is to launch TV programming as well as spearhead cross functional conference calls, act as liaison between vendors and programmers to meet launch objectives. Additionally, work with marketing stakeholders to develop channel line-ups that fit their community’s needs.  Help obtain local retransmission agreements.  Build pricing and packages that adhere to programmer requirements while meeting the operator’s strategic marketing goals.  Manage programmer marketing initiatives after launch.  Track sub numbers.    

 

Director of Affiliate Sales ( – ) – ViewNow

ViewNow was a start-up VOD provider in the IPTV industry, which was purchased by Avail-TVN.  Primary responsibility was to sell VOD service to rural Telco’s.  Closed deals with companies for projected first year revenues of approximately $K.  Developed materials and presented company features and benefits to individuals, groups, and at trade shows.  Negotiated contracts and monitored compliance. 

 

Account Executive ( – ) – Anixter

Anixter is a communications supply company.  Worked with Procurement Departments, as well as Engineering and Planning at Qwest, Level , Comcast, EchoStar, and Time Warner to assess needs and strategize for upcoming projects. 

 

Sr. Director of Affiliate Relations ( – ) - Indemand

Indemand is a content provider for PPV/VOD/HD in the cable industry.  Developed and executed marketing and promotional campaigns meeting company and customer objectives.  Consistently exceeded sell-in expectations for new programming and marketing initiatives.  Launched VOD at Adelphia in LA, Time Warner in LA and San Diego, Cox in San Diego to name a few. 

 

Corporate Director of Digital/PPV/VOD ( – ) – Rifkin & Associates, LLC

Managed PPV, VOD, High Speed Data, and Digital Tier launches.  Acted as liaison with various internal departments (Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Research, IT) to manage day-to-day operations.  R&A Management closed doors when it sold properties to Charter in .

 

Early Career: Request TV, Prime Cable, and Paragon Cable – Primary responsibilities included Product Management of PPV, VOD, and Premium channels.  Acquired Hollywood and Independent product for Request TV.  Marketed PPV for Prime Cable and Paragon Cable.
