Singlehandedly oversaw and ran a comprehensive corporate healthcare facility which actively served employees. Significantly changed the exercise facility strategy of targeting athletes to one that was focused on health behavior change in the general corporate headquarters population. Both employees and their dependents participated in a diversified curriculum addressing physical, mental, social, financial and spiritual health.
- Re-branded and changed the name of the facility from Fitness Center to Wellness Center which involved executive and membership support.
- Increased fitness facility participation from a daily rate of to participants.
- Initiated and orchestrated the Mobile Mammography testing program two times per year which resulted in early diagnoses for breast cancer patients.
- Played an Instrumental role in adding women’s health tests covered in the employee health insurance plan.
- Initiated and managed the employee assistance program (EAP) which resulted in a % utilization rate for corporate headquarters (compared to a % national utilization rate).
- Initiated the annual Healthy Living Expo, providing health tests and over exhibits from various health organizations which led to identifying elevated risk factors for employees and family members.
- Organized and ran recreational clubs and contests, sporting events, and singing groups which supported better morale in the corporate environment.
- Brought onto campus various exercise classes from Yoga and Martial Arts to Folk and Ball Room Dancing as well as teaching classes in aerobic exercise, stretching classes, and specialty seminars such as “Exercises to improve your Golf Game”.
- Introduced lunch time educational brown bag lunches offered monthly, covering a wide range of topics including effective parenting, stress management, nutrition, cancer issues for men, exercise, financial planning, and “How to enjoy watching football with your spouse”.
- Organized a core volunteer steering committee which increased onsite blood drives from per year to per year, effectively increasing donations from units per year to units per year.
- Lobbied for and received approval for special room on campus for weekly shoulder neck massage and reflexology treatments, contracting with licensed professionals and a special room for breast feeding moms.
