Business Analyst/Project Manager

Business Analyst and Project Manager responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle for a series of web based customized off-the-shelf packages and in-house custom built business solutions to support information, decision making, and reporting needs of senior management, sales, marketing, finance and operations users. Application development was completed using Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, VBScript, HTML, and CSS. Projects have ranged in duration from several weeks to over one year, with responsibility for multiple, over-lapping projects and project support.

Responsibilities
> Prepared statement of work, cost benefit analysis, risk assessment, project and resource plans, and managed project communications at all levels of the organization.
> Facilitated and mediated JAD sessions with development, business, and executive teams to elicit and analyze needs and define system specifications, prepared gap analysis, documented and defined business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, workflows, data models and data migration, and wireframes and design concepts, interacting with development teams to ensure successful development of requirements.

The system, used by employees in the US and London managed deals worth over $B in commitments.
> On-line creation of outgoing disbursement forms with interfaces to ACBS lending system and Merrill Lynch’s sanction list databases to screen payees and their payment instructions prior to disbursement to ensure no funds transfer into accounts blocked by the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC).
> On-line approval solution replacing paper disbursement approval process. The application interfaces with multiple in-house systems including ACBS lending system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the funding process by eliminating the manual routing of disbursement requests and manual validation of approval signatures, reducing operational risk due to approval by individuals without appropriate authority level.
> Solution providing reconciliation of incoming funds between external banking applications and ACBS lending system. If a match was found, system alerted the client of the potential suspicious activity triggering an investigation, reducing risk and facilitating more accurate processing and management of customer account balances and exceptions tracking.
> Web-based e-mail marketing communications tool to create and implement personalized, targeted e-mail campaigns in HTML and text formats. Used by in-house marketing staff, eliminating need to share proprietary customer information with outside vendors, to manage and send e-mail communications to over , subscribers.
> Web-publishing tool enabling skilled and unskilled content providers to create, manage, and publish intranet content allowing for real-time updates of business critical information. Defined style guide, usability standards, and search standards for consistency across multiple business units. Implementation of the tool reduced intranet releases involving technology developers from bi-weekly to semi-annually.
> Comprehensive, easy-to-use external website, providing Merrill Lynch Capital with its first Internet presence. Solution provided the business with a way to easily update and maintain content on a regularly scheduled release timetable with dynamic content and opt-in marketing capabilities. Secured domain name, addressed information, security and privacy issues relating to gathering personal contact information over the Internet, search engine optimization, and web trends reporting.
> Central repository of current healthcare industry data, accessible through a web-based portal used for data mining, streamlining the underwriting process, reporting, and improving business decision making.
