PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Presently working as Research Assistant in National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi in a DBT funded project “Computational Analysis of Genes and Pathways involved in Vitiligo” under Dr. Debasisa Mohanty (Head- Bioinformatics Center). The project aims to decipher the pathway and genes which are responsible for causing vitiligo disease in humans and thus suggesting a way out to prevent it.
Outstanding ability to analyze, gather, write, evaluate, and produce detailed reports on critical projects. Combines extensive technical, analytical, and interpretive skills.
Strong skills in conducting initial research, providing data analysis, evaluating, and then developing viable solutions.
Interact effectively with scientists, administrators, and pharmaceutical officers.
Ability to adapt to people and institutions at all levels.
Effective communicator with excellent relationship management skills; honed analytical, problem solving & organisational abilities.

Academic Projects and Seminars:
Attended 5th Indo-Australian Conference on “Medical Biotechnology” at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi on 11-12th February 2008.
Attended XIV annual symposium organised by Ranbaxy Science Foundation on “Emerging Frontiers in Management of Advanced Stage Cancers” at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi on January 14-15 th 2008.
Six months dissertation at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) , New Delhi on “Simulation Studies on Conformational Analysis of Dipeptides” under the guidance of Prof. V. S. Chauhan.(Director- ICGEB) Molecular dynamic simulations were carried out to study the conformational stability of dipeptides containing dehyrophenylalanine which then could be used in a number of applications such as antiviral drug carriers, scaffolds for tissue repair, peptide design etc.
Six months internal project on “Identification of Pseudogenes in Aspergillus nidulans” in 3rd semester of M.Sc.
Attended Workshop on “Computational Genomics” from Sept 6-8th, 2006 at Birla Institute Of Scientific Research (BISR), Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Attended Seminar on “Downstream Processing & Water Purification Technologies” on July 26th, 2006 at Chandigarh, organised by Millipore India Pvt. Ltd.
Summer training at National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi on “Homology Modeling of Mycocerosic Acid Synthase” under the guidance of Dr. Debasisa Mohanty- Duration 8 weeks (Head- Bioinformatics center). A short term project aimed to build a structure for Mycocerosic Acid Synthase based upon it's sequence similarity with Fatty Acid Synthase.
Six months internal Project on “Micropropagation of Gladiolus and Machine Vision aided detection of Somaclonal variations” in final year of graduation.
Seminar on Types and Synthesis of different RNAs.
Represented college in “Biotechnology Fair” held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India and CII.
Participated in seminar “Future of Biotechnology & Clinical Research in India” conducted by Jubilant Organosys.
