COMMENT
My strongest interest and skill set is in within publishing, both image and the written word. I continue to edit fiction and nonfiction for American Book Publishing, but prefer to work as a free-lance copy editor or proofreader part-time for one client.
I am a seasoned graphic designer, still freelancing, doing business as Star Design & Marketing. I am cross-platform, Mac and PC, and I have broadband (wireless) Internet access. I am experienced in Chicago Manual of Style and AP. I am meticulous, advanced in MS Word, Adobe, and Quark, and I am able to start immediately.
I have a technical writing background with many clients in the fields of animal welfare (ethics, shelters, and pet care) gardening, finance, banking, small business, health care, and death and dying (hospice) issues. I am a trained medical laboratory technician and have a good grasp of medicine, drugs, and medical terminology.
I have an interest in herbal and alternative medicine, metaphysics, extraterrestrial life, reincarnation, spontaneous human combustion, and personal spiritual exploration.
I regularly write poetry, and some have been published in college journals. I have published hundreds of news releases and feature articles in two local and two state newspapers. I am currently at work on a novel.
My book lists can be sent attached as MS Word files. My references are available upon request.
