* Strong technical knowledge in microbial methodology, quality control and assay development
* Extensive experimentation experience in assessment of antimicrobial activity:
Minimum Inhibitory Concentration, Time-Kill study, Post Agent effect, Fractional Inhibitory Concentration Index
* Extensive experimentation experience in synthesis of metal nanoparticles (Ag, Au) using plant extracts & use in medical applications
* Experience in data analysis, interpretation and report preparation
* Software: Sigma-Plot, Origin, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
* Maintained bacterial, fungal and yeast cultures and worked on pathogenic multi drug resistant (MDR) bacteria
* Extracted, purified and immobilized microbial enzyme to remove hexavalent chromium
* Synthesized metal and semiconductor nanoparticles (Ag, Au, CdS and PbS) using yeast cells
* Handled Spectrophotometers (UV-Vis and AAS), Ion chromatograph, Ultra-centrifuge, Cyclic voltammeter,
Electroporation machine and Lyophilizer
* Extracted plasmid DNA
* Performed Gel-electrophoresis, Western blot and ELISA
* Performed XTT assay in secondary cell lines
* Worked in interdisciplinary research team - with soil scientists, chemists, physicists and molecular biologists
