Developed and currently direct this 501 (c) 3 civic organization to improve quality of life and increase tourism revenue for the West Village/Delaware/Ellicott Districts of Buffalo, NY. Major responsibilities include branding, public relations, and fund development.

Since it’s inception in September 2002, the Johnson Park Association has:
· Recognized as one of “Western New York’s Great Neighborhoods” by Buffalo Spree Magazine (Oct. 2003),

In the RSA National Quality Control Program, my responsibilities include on-site performance audits of various auction facilities on a nationwide basis. The audit program is of the highest quality assurance, which benefits both RSA and its extensive client base. During each visit, these facilities are checked for condition report accuracy; reconditioning; marketing efforts; repairs; accuracy of expense reports and estimates; transportation; proceeds timeliness and continual auction/dealer relationships.

The major project that this company developed was the Triad System for the retail automotive sales industry through select areas of the Southwest.

POP RADIO CORPORATION/ACTMEDIA, Buffalo, New York 1990 – 1994
Director of Quality Assurance/Public Relations
Directed Compliance and Customer Service procedures for 18,000+ stores nationwide, which included management of the Field Service Staff (auditors) of 1,400+; in-office compliance; and customer service representatives and administration.

Ø Created and implemented new systems of operations for all departments including budgets; reports; new product research and development; recruitment; training; and increased product development.

Ø Reengineered public relations and marketing for innovative satellite delivery systems for 2,000 chains nationwide.

Ø Conceived, developed, and implemented new training procedures for the national field service staff of 1,400+ that included simplified, focused materials and video which improved the quality of audit systems and productivity by 62%. This also increased one-on-one public relations in the field.

Ø Consolidated Administration and Compliance staffs and duties while merging Compliance and Customer Service under the umbrella of Quality Assurance. This allowed a combined staff reduction from nine to four while increasing staff satisfaction, responsibilities, and a reduction of costs by $121K.

Ø Designed improved, impactful sales presentations for national sales reps that produced daily updated store counts, chain identification and compliance percentages on a market-to-market, region to region basis. This created increased sales via a more cohesive rate card while developing user-friendly systems.

Ø Redesigned vendor presentation materials that allowed for improved behavioral compliance of 28%.

Ø Instituted employee motivational and cross-training programs.

BUFFALO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, Buffalo, New York 1987 – 1990
Director of Special Events - 1988 – 1990
Created high yield events to market the orchestra to previously unrecognized audiences in the Western New York community. Co-produced television, print, and radio ads for all events.

Ø Initiated and implemented the first Great International Duck Race as part of Friendship Festival ’89 which
caused awareness in the low to middle-income demographics, raised approximately $27K net and provided the orchestra with over $250K in sponsorships and prizes.

Ø Planned and coordinated the first Bills at the Phil event that combined the strengths of both the orchestra and the Buffalo Bills NFL team into one event, once again creating a new awareness of the BPO while raising essential funding.

Director of TeleResources - 1987 – 1988
Ø Proposed, designed and implemented the orchestra’s first in-house telemarketing department which reduced
overall costs by 31% while increasing the donor base by 43%. This resulted in increased revenue of $83K.

Ø Developed both funding and marketing campaigns that included systems, reports and lead research.

WUWU-FM, West Seneca, New York 1983 – 1987
Operations Manager/Program Director
A dual-market station, serving both Buffalo and Rochester, New York and the surrounding areas, this situation provided a number of challenges due to FCC licensing requirements and “area of service” special programming. Base responsibilities included, but were not limited to:

Ø All operations and departments including Programming; Administration; Traffic; Sales and Marketing; Compliance; Finance; and Budget.

Ø Developed all music and informational programming, promotions and public relations

Ø Created ArtForm Radio - the Canisius College piggyback broadcast program

WBLK-FM, Buffalo, NY 1980 – 1983
Music Director
Developed play list for 24 hour programming at this innovative urban contemporary broadcast facility. Also created numerous special programs that served the area community and provided information and special events for same.

During my tenure with WBLK, I held two day parts. My second day part was 7:00 PM – Midnight where the Arbitron Ratings noted that this program “Night Music” achieved the top rating for its time span throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario, Canada.
