Primary responsibilities include copywriting and/or editing any copy required for materials produced by Creative Services.
Specifically;
•Responsible for developing copy across a variety of collateral and advertising materials for all media, targeting all customer segments.
•Liaise with creative team to ensure copy and design is cohesive, and true to the brand.
•Ability to write target specific copy, including contractor, consumer, retail advertising, retail support and web content.
•Set and maintain copy deadlines, ensuring that content is planned and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
•Develop a proven process for delivering copy that meets the highest standards, including managing and tracking rounds of changes and proofreading and assuring adherence to editorial and style guides.
•Edit/proofread all materials produced in Creative Studio
•Approve all final proofs – copy portion.
 Internal Relations
•Works collaboratively with Creative Studio Team to coordinate copy development for projects.
•Communicates progress with the Brand Marketing contacts
•Meets with project owner to ensure full understanding of copy needs
•Reviews copy with Manager and participate in copy review with project owner
•Provide quick turnaround edits as needed by project owners
 Project Management
•Set and maintain copy deadlines, ensuring that content is planned and delivery in a timely and efficient manner.
•Responsible for prioritizing own workload, with assistance from manager when required
•Edit and revise copy to maintain forward progress on projects
 Customer Focus
• Forms working partnerships with key customers (e.g., dealers, suppliers, functional leaders) in order to strengthen the entire supply and distribution channel.
• Proactively identifies customer needs through probing questions and effective listening.
• Ensures customer and team members are informed of key issues and progress toward meeting objectives.
• Interprets customer feedback and responds promptly to improve anything less than a superior rating.
 Planning, Driving for and Achieving Results
• Sees the “big picture,” considers impact of actions on areas outside of own specialty.
• Experiments and takes educated risks with new approaches and encourages others to do the same.
• Develops and maintains contingency plans that maximize flexibility.
• Anticipates and manages appropriate reactions to marketplace and competitive changes (reacts appropriately and timely to new news).
 
Required SkillsRequired Skills:
 Must have a BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications or related field.
Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills required.
Must have very close attention to detail and consistency.
2 to 3 years copywriting experience.
Must be to commit to 5 days a week in the office
