As the Color Technology Manager you will be responsible for leading a group of 6 to 8 direct reports in the following areas: Technical leadership for color technology hardware, software, databases and solutions in support of our R&D and marketing organizations and retailer focused business model. Steward of Benjamin Moore’s Color Library and proprietary support technologies. Ensure best in class quality and performance of current and new technologies. Leadership role in managing key suppliers to support both current business and forward thinking innovation for technology and color merchandising. Manage a diverse work plan comprised of numerous projects from different parts of the business with the ability to work and communicate cross-functionally. (R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Digital, Quality). Document and communicate project plans, updates and finished reports. Required Skills | |||
Experience Required | Expertise in Color Technology Tools and Color Science. Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of color to develop solutions for functional objectives. Quality focus: QA and QC principles Working capability in statistics based experimental design, investigational research Intellectual curiosity Ability and ease in developing partnerships with many parts of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers to drive mutually beneficial projects and workplans. Strong ability to design and manage multiple projects via Project Management Principles Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to flex style and message to diverse audiences. String ability to explain complex technology or initiatives in layman’s terms. Actively looks for, identifies and implements improvement opportunities for individuals, the team, and the organization. College degree or commensurate experience required. |
