Job Description:

Assistant Professor, Computer Information Science - Full-Time, Tenure-Track

Job Description: Delaware County Community College (DCCC), a Middle States Association accredited College, and an institution committed to diversity, seeks a qualified Full-Time, Tenure-Track, Computer Information Science Instructor to start in Fall, 2010.

The Computer Information Science instructor will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to teach computer programming to students from different backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, gender, ages, religions, or disabilities in the classroom and in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations.

The applicant must have high-end, hands-on computer expertise in programming, such as C++ and C#, JAVA, Microsoft Visual Studio, database design and development, and be conversant with other emerging technologies. Applicant should have experience in Simulation and Game Programming. Experience in Game Maker, 3Ds Max, and Deep UV plug-in for 3Ds Max is desirable.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Gaming and Simulation, or other related field is required; 2-5 years IT industry experience and/or 2-5 years teaching experience is required. Curriculum development experience is a plus.

Immediate Supervisor: Dean, Business/Computer Information Systems

Salary Range: Minimum starting salary of $51,933 plus a comprehensive, competitive benefit package.

Hours/Start Date: Start Date: Fall 2010 with hours as needed for classes and office hours Monday through Friday.
