Environmental Engineer / Geologist (Staff & Project Management Level) - Sacramento Office

National Environmental Consulting firm specializing in environmental remediation projects for petroleum related retail clientele actively seeking Environmental Engineers and Environmental Geologists to take on Staff and Project Management roles within our Sacramento, California Office.

Most Immediate Hiring Needs:

Environmental Unit Manager/ Sr. Environmental Engineer – (Sacramento, CA Office)

Seeking a senior environmental professional to lead its Independent Petroleum Refiner/Marketer Environmental Consulting Practice. The location for this position is flexible and travel will be required. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum of 10 years environmental management experience
B.S. in engineering or environmental science, M.S preferred
Professional registration
Direct experience with petroleum operations
Operations management skills and experience including resource management and profit/loss accountability
Market and business development skills and experience

Primary accountabilities will include:

Establishing firm as the pre-eminent provider of environmental business solutions to the Petroleum Refiner/Marketer Segment.
Operational profit and loss
Cultivation of a team dedicated to delivering services to the targeted client base
Risk Management
Management of existing clients
Business growth through client and practice area diversification
Creating and sustaining a safe work environment
Industry networking in support of establishing a practice “presence”
Participation on the operational leadership team.

Environmental Project Manager – (Sacramento, CA Office)

The Project Manager position has oversight for the continuing performance for unit-rate UST remedial services with a major retail petroleum company. This position is responsible for overseeing staff professionals, geologists and engineers working on projects in Southern California.

This position requires excellent communication, administration, and financial analysis skills to oversee and implement processes and procedures related to all aspects of UST remedial services work. The candidate must be capable of working in a supportive but fast paced environment on a daily basis

Key performance metrics for this position include: maintaining safety and environmental compliance, client satisfaction, employee satisfaction as well as meeting financial and budgetary goals.

Ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of five - ten years applicable experience
A Professional Engineers license
Degree in geology, engineering or environmental sciences
Experience with a variety of in-situ and ex-situ remediation technologies
Experience with a variety of petroleum operations
Ability to work in a team environment
Project and program management experience a plus

Staff level Environmental Geologist / Engineer – (Sacramento, CA Office)

This staff professional/geologist position will support existing projects involving primarily subsurface petroleum impact to soil and groundwater. Duties will include: developing work plans and cost estimates; scheduling and coordination of routine field work; conducting soil and groundwater investigations, advanced sampling, and pilot tests; will oversee remediation system installation and maintenance; will be responsible for data management and report preparation. Experience with California regulations a strong plus.

Ideal candidate will have:

One to three years applicable experience
BS in geology, engineering or environmental sciences
Ability to work independently
